Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026
aima is a small web app that shows information from a Google Sheet about a household's money. It runs at aima.davidentrena.com. This policy explains what information aima uses, why, and what control you have. In this policy, "we" means the developer of aima.
The short version
- aima only reads data. It never changes your Google data.
- Everything happens in your browser. aima has no server, and we do not receive, store or see your data.
- We do not sell or share your data, show ads, or use analytics or tracking cookies.
Information aima uses
When you sign in with Google, you allow aima to use:
- Your email address (Google permission "See your primary Google Account email address"). aima uses it so your next sign-in can be one tap, without choosing the account again.
- Read-only access to Google Sheets (Google permission "See all your Google Sheets spreadsheets"). aima only reads the one spreadsheet it is set up for, and only the cells it shows: totals, account balances and spending movements (date, category, description and amount). It cannot change or delete anything.
- A sign-in token that Google gives your browser after you sign in. It lets aima ask Google for the data above for about one hour.
Who can see the spreadsheet is decided by its sharing settings in Google Sheets. If the sheet is not shared with you, Google refuses the request and aima signs you out.
How the information is used
The information is used only to show you the app's screens: the total, its parts and the spending goal. It is not used for anything else, and it is not used to build profiles or to train any kind of model.
Where the information is kept
Only in your own browser, on your own device:
- The sign-in token is kept for the current visit only (browser session storage). It is deleted when you close the app or sign out, and it stops working after about one hour.
- Your email address is kept on your device (browser local storage) until you sign out.
- Your display choices (which parts of the total are switched on) are kept on your device.
- The app's own files (pages, styles, icons) are kept in the browser so the app opens quickly. Your Google data is never kept there.
The spreadsheet data is read again each time and is not saved by aima.
Sharing
We do not share, sell, rent or transfer your information to anyone. aima talks only to Google, to sign you in and to read the spreadsheet. Google's own Privacy Policy applies to that. The app's files are delivered by a web hosting service, which may keep short technical logs of visits (such as IP addresses) to keep the service running and secure. These logs are not used by aima.
Google API Services
aima's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your choices and how to delete your data
- Sign out in aima: this removes the sign-in token and your email address from the device.
- Remove aima's access to your Google Account at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Clear the site data for aima in your browser settings to remove everything aima kept on your device.
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, and to object to its use. Because we do not keep any of your data, the steps above already delete it. You can also contact us, and you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
Children
aima is not meant for children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Security
aima uses Google's sign-in and only secure (HTTPS) connections. It never sees your Google password. No password or client secret is stored in the app.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Please check it from time to time.
